Intimate elopements in East Anglia

Elopement Celebrant in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire

If the idea of a 120-person wedding makes you want to lie down in a dark room, but you still want the day to feel proper and meaningful, an elopement is the answer. Just the two of you, a small number of guests if you wish, somewhere beautiful, and a ceremony that sounds like you, then let's do it!

Just the two of you, somewhere beautiful, making promises that matter.

Who Elopements Are For

Couples who would rather spend their budget on the experience than the guest list. Couples on a second marriage who don't want the full production. Couples who want to be present with each other on the day and not playing host to 90 people. Couples who simply don't fancy the wedding industrial complex.

Whether it's a Norfolk beach at sunrise, a Suffolk woodland, a hilltop somewhere, your favourite pub garden, or your own back garden with two friends and a flask of tea, elopement weddings are some of the most romantic ceremonies I write.

The Legal Bit

In England and Wales, celebrants can't legally marry you. The simple workaround: pop into your local register office a few days before your elopement, sign the paperwork, two witnesses, around 50 pounds. Then your real ceremony with me is the part that actually feels like your wedding.

This works particularly well for elopements because the legal admin is genuinely 5 minutes and out of the way, leaving the actual day completely free for the two of you.

What I bring to a tiny ceremony

Why Couples Pick Me For Elopements

Elopement ceremonies have nowhere to hide. There's no room full of people for the words to bounce around.

It’s just the two of you (plus a small number of guests if you wish) listening properly, in a moment you’re going to remember in detail for the rest of your lives.

The writing has to be exactly right. Warm, personal, specific to the two of you, and not a single line of generic celebrant-speak. That's exactly what I do.
